DWK Attorney Receives Recognition for Volunteer Work

Apr 20, 2015 | Legal Developments and News

DWK’s Special Counsel R. Peter Rittling has been honored by the Justice and Diversity Center (JDC) of The Bar Association of San Francisco with an “Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service Certificate” for his volunteer work in 2014.

For nearly a decade, Mr. Rittling has volunteered at the JDC’s Legal Advice and Referral Clinic (LARC) in San Francisco advising clients on a variety of legal matters with an emphasis on labor and employment law. “Watching their faces as they realize they have options is immensely rewarding,” he says of his pro bono work. “It’s the most rewarding thing I do as a lawyer and citizen.”

Mr. Rittling will receive his certificate at the organization’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration on May 12, 2015, with guest of honor Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of California Tani Cantil-Sakauye.

Mr. Rittling is a member of DWK’s Labor, Employment and Personnel (LEAP) Practice Group. He also received the same Justice & Diversity Center “Outstanding Volunteer Certificate” in 2013.
