Marketing Assistant/Office Coordinator

Mid-sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks a Marketing Assistant/Office Coordinator.  If you are interested in being part of a team that supports the education of students in California, we encourage you to apply.  The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of office and administrative experience.

Candidates will be considered for the following DWK office: Sacramento

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with copy editing and reviewing PowerPoint presentations, proposals and RFPs for accuracy
  • Maintain the department calendar
  • Assist with the planning of firm-hosted/sponsored events, including attending events in the Sacramento County area, as needed
  • Assist with onsite event logistics, including making travel arrangements/reservations
  • Complete assigned errands outside of the office suite, including managing mail, freight and courier services, as well as delivering items to events and picking up supplies
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the reception desk, including answering calls, routing calls, taking messages, and welcoming visitors
  • Provide office support, including help to plan in-office events; manage office and conference room reservations; inventory office supplies and ensure items are ordered and the office is adequately stocked; and interface with building management as needed

Qualifications include:

  • Exceptional proofreading, writing, communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines
  • Ability to interact with staff and attorneys at all levels by establishing credibility by completing quality work, communicating effectively, and demonstrating tact, adequate follow-up, and reliability
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, comprehend and take appropriate action
  • Ability to work overtime and travel to off-site events on an as needed basis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and Canva experience is preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of related office and administrative experience required
  • Law firm experience preferred

The hourly rate range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $24.00 – $30.85.  The final hourly rate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications and other job-related factors permitted by law.  In addition to the offered salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) with matching and profit-sharing options; sick and vacation time, along with paid holidays.  We offer additional voluntary benefits designed to meet your individual needs.
