Berkeley, CA – Dannis Woliver Kelley, California’s premier education law firm, is pleased to announce the expansion in its statewide education law practice with the opening of a new East Bay office. The office will be located in downtown Berkeley led by Matt Tamel, who is also the Chair of the Students and Special Education practice group. Attorneys joining Matt will be: Stephen Cali; Claudia Harrison; Reid Shannon; Kasmira Brough; and Jennifer Choi. Business operations in the new East Bay office will begin on October 12, 2020.

Candace Bandoian, DWK’s Managing Shareholder commented, “DWK has a rich history in Northern California, having maintained an office in San Francisco for over forty years. Expanding to the East Bay increases our access to our Bay Area clients and provides easier office access for our many employees who reside in the East Bay.”

“I’m excited to lead the efforts in expanding our practice into another Northern California region, especially one as diverse and dynamic as the East Bay” says Matt Tamel, Managing Shareholder of the firm’s East Bay office. Matt has dedicated nearly his entire career to public education. He worked as a public school teacher (English) in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost 10 years before becoming an attorney.

The new East Bay office will be located at 2087 Addison Street, 2nd Floor in Berkeley. We look forward to continuing to serve your needs in the East Bay, and in all DWK offices throughout California.
