Peter Rittling is a Shareholder in the San Francisco office and is a member of the Labor, Employment and Personnel (LEAP) Practice Group. His practice includes arbitrations and administrative litigation, collective bargaining, workplace investigations, and advice and counsel on labor relations, contract interpretation, and discipline matters.
Peter has extensive experience representing public and private sector clients in a wide range of legal matters and forums with a focus on employment litigation and traditional labor law. Prior to joining DWK, Peter represented the Federal government in labor and employment litigation in Federal courts, arbitrations, and before administrative tribunals throughout the Western United States and the District of Columbia. He also worked for the Department of the Treasury, Office of the General Counsel, where he assisted with House, Senate and independent counsel investigations, in addition to providing legal support on administrative law and employment matters. Most recently, Peter worked for the Office of Labor Relations at U.C. Berkeley where he represented the campus in arbitrations and contract negotiations.
In his free time, Peter volunteers with the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco, providing pro bono legal services to the community.
