Meredith B. Johnson is a Shareholder in DWK’s Long Beach office and serves as Chair of the Firm’s Public Finance Group. With a focus exclusively on educational facilities financing, Meredith is a seasoned bond attorney with extensive experience in guiding school and community college districts through complex financing and refinancing projects. Her expertise spans a wide range of financial instruments, including general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, bond anticipation notes, and tax and revenue anticipation notes. Meredith also serves frequently as underwriter’s counsel.

Meredith also specializes in guiding school and community college districts through bond elections and ensuring compliance with legal requirements during bond campaigns. Post-election, she assists school and community college districts in forming and fostering productive relationships with bond oversight committees, thereby ensuring transparency and accountability in the expenditure of bond proceeds. Additionally, Meredith can often be heard speaking at industry conferences across California on school bond topics.
