Jennifer Henry is Of Counsel in the East Bay Office and a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Personnel Practice (LEAP) Group, Board Ethics, Transparency and Accountability (BETA) Group, and Litigation Practice Group.

Jennifer was admitted to the California Bar in 2000 and has over 14 years of experience representing public agencies (primarily school and community college districts), including advising their governing boards in administrative hearings, closed sessions, and in state and federal litigation. She is well-versed in public sector labor and employment law, open government and ethics (including the Brown Act, the Public Records Act, and the Political Reform Act), public contracting, and litigation.

Jennifer was elected to the Dublin Unified School District Governing Board in 2006 and served a full four-year term. Additional highlights of her career include serving as a Code Enforcement Hearing Officer for the Cities of Sonoma and Santa Rosa, and participating as a member of the boards of Worksafe, the Alameda County Bar Association, and Centro Legal de la Raza. She has presented and co-presented workshops on the Public Records Act, Brown Act, public contracts, ethics, case summaries, labor and employment, and medical marijuana. She is also a breast cancer survivor.

Jennifer earned her B.A. in English, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995. She graduated from Willamette Law School in 1998.
