Mid-sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Labor, Employment and Personnel Practice Group. Candidates will be considered for the following DWK offices: Long Beach, San Diego
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience, including the below qualifications:
- Labor, employment and personnel experience
- Prior experience conducting investigations and/or administrative hearings
- Experience with the Educational Employment Relations Act or similar labor relations statute preferred
- Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
- Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
- Experience with labor negotiations
- Public entity representation is preferred but not required; and prior school district representation is a plus
- Admission to the California State Bar
Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with both California’s Fair Chance Act (FCA) and local Fair Chance Ordinances (FCOs).
The annual salary wage range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $130,000 to $165,000. The final annual salary offered will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
