Labor and Employment Attorney (Hybrid)

Mid-sized education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Labor, Employment and Personnel Practice Group.

Candidates will be considered for the following DWK offices: Sacramento, East Bay, San Francisco

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience, including the below qualifications:

  • Labor, employment and personnel experience
  • Experience with labor negotiations, including serving on a negotiations team; developing and drafting bargaining proposals, side letters and MOUs, developing negotiation plans and strategies; and effectively negotiating collective bargaining agreements and MOUs
  • Experience with the Educational Employment Relations Act or similar labor relations statute preferred
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
  • Public entity representation is preferred but not required; and prior school district representation is a plus
  • Admission to the California State Bar

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

The anticipated annual salary wage range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $130,000 to $175,000.  The final annual salary wage offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience in the job, type and years of experience in the industry, education, and other factors.
