Bill Schuetz appointed to Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District Board

Mar 18, 2016 | Press Releases

San Francisco, CA—DWK is pleased and excited to announce that Bill Schuetz has been appointed to the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District Board. Following interviews, the Governing Board of the District voted to appoint Bill to fill a mid-term vacancy created by a resignation.

A senior lawyer based in the firm’s Sacramento office, Bill provides legal advice and counsel to public school districts, county offices of education and community colleges. As a parent, Bill has experienced first hand the effects of policy decisions made by the governing board on the district in which his children attend school.  “I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve as trustee to our school district community,” stated Bill. “I believe that my perspective, both as an education attorney and as a parent of kids in the district, enables me to uniquely contribute to this already terrific leadership team.“

DWK managing shareholder Mark Kelley said: “We are extremely proud of Bill’s accomplishment, and fully support his accepting the position as a Board member.  He joins Greg Dannis (Hillsborough City School District) as a sitting Board member, and their perspectives on how legal services should be delivered to our clients is invaluable.”

Bill’s appointment is until November 2016, at which time he can choose to run for the last 2 years of the term.
