Sirenia Jimenez is an Associate in the Long Beach Office. She has represented school districts in a variety of legal matters involving employment and labor law, including employee discipline and dismissals, labor relations, unfair labor practice proceedings, and investigations. She has also provided legal guidance and counsel to school districts on student-related issues, such as expulsions and First Amendment rights, and board transparency, including the Brown Act and the Public Records Act.
Prior to joining the firm, Sirenia was an associate at a firm where she represented K-12 school districts and county offices of education across a broad spectrum of education law matters.
While in law school, Sirenia clerked with the Modesto City Attorney’s Office, the Immigration Community Legal Services, and an education law firm in Sacramento. She was also the Chief Comment Editor of the Global Business & Development Law Journal and Editor of the California Initiative Review. Additionally, Sirenia studied abroad under Supreme Court Justice Kennedy in Salzburg, Austria.
