Meagan M. Kinsey is an associate in the firm’s Long Beach office. Her areas of practice include Students and Special Education, Charter Schools, and Litigation. Meagan advises clients regarding all aspects of special education, including program development and representing clients at IEP team meetings, resolution sessions, mediation, and due process hearings. Her practice also focuses on assisting school districts with student discipline, Title IX compliance, and a variety of student issues.
Meagan previously served as a legal extern for the General Counsel of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. Prior to attending law school, Meagan was a Teach for America corps member in Houston. As part of this commitment, she served as an early childhood teacher and grade level chair at a KIPP charter school. Meagan’s experience in the classroom is foundational to her practice as she utilizes a student-centered, proactive approach to build relationships with families, empower teachers and staff, and meet her clients’ needs.
