Deidree Y.M.K. Sakai is a Shareholder in the San Francisco office and is a member of the Business, Property and Construction and Litigation Practice Groups. Deidree works on transactional matters related to procurement, including the development of front end construction documents and other construction-related professional services agreements, as well as negotiation of energy services contracts. She has represented school districts and community college districts on various construction matters including prequalification, bid protests, subcontractor substitution hearings, stop payment notice actions, construction defect claims, delay and/or disruption claims, and energy service contract sole source challenges, as well as real property and business matters. She has litigated diverse construction matters in state and federal courts in California, Hawaii and Nevada. Prior to joining Dannis Woliver Kelley, she represented owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and material and equipment suppliers on private and public works. Deidree has been a co-presenter for several webinars available on the DWK website and has been a speaker at conferences and professional development institutes for the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) and the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO). Deidree graduated from Santa Clara University (J.D.) and from University of Washington (B.B.A.).
